Can't restore original backup nor install performance tune

Hi there, I'm having a bit of problems trying to get the predator to work. I restored the original back up and then the predator cable was disconnected during a custom tune importation(just importation, it didn't install anything) After unppluging it, we tried installing the performance and hp tune but once the predator reached the "reading tune" stage for backup, an error message would appear, something in the lines of "original back up was not saved" and if I tried just restoring the back up I would get a message saying "original back is already installed or was never saved". Nothing seems to work, could it be a low voltage issue or do i need to have the PCM reflashed at the dealer??? any help wpould be greatly apprecciated, thank you !

thanks for the quick reply, the car is a 2003 mustang GT with a vortech v2 on it, the supercharger just went in and we haven't done any tunning yet so there is no custom tune stored on the device for this set up. I'll go and try again in a second so I can get the actual error messages to you, thanks again for the quick reply ! I'll get back to you with the codes in a few minutes!

ok here are the messages: Once I click to install the performance or factory hp tune the predator starts trying to read the original tune and then I get the message "original back up not saved" once I click "OK" it tells me it will try again and then I get the message "Predator was unable to save your original tune after 2 attempts. This can happen if the vehicle already has a performance tune." and finally I get "Not tuning the vehicle because of backup"

Either theirs a tune already on the vehicle, which will require a dealer reflash, or the PCM has a chip installed. Remove the PCM on the passenger side kick panel and see if youve got a chipped computer

well I have been using this same predator in the same car for years, the only tune it had was the predator tune itself and that was gone once I restored the original back up. So basically the predator is now un-married from my car but it won't let me use it on it again. Could it be that the original backup was corrupted? or did unplugging the predator during a custom tune importation messed the PCM up? it wasn't installing the tune because the serial cable wasn't even working, it was just stuck on the importing screen.

I got another message whenever I tried to install the performance tune "You selected a different tune, would like to reset the all parameters?" I get the same result if I click yes or no. I also clicked the option where it shows the VIN and it actually shows the VIN from my car but on last tune it says "original back up" any ideas? this is my daily driver and I REALLY need it to be working but I cant get the tune for the vortech set up if the predator won't let do the back up, help please !
