Data Logging Causes inTune to Freeze

Post by sj90 »

Hi,

I have a inTune for my 2012 Mustang v6. I'm attempting to data log some parameters for my tuner and I'm running into some trouble.

When I add the short term or long term fuel trim PID to the record list, I cannot run the data-logging. What happens is I tell the device to start logging and it goes to the screen displaying the parameters being recorded, except all the fields are showing their max reading and not changing. The device then locks up when I go to exit the screen forcing me to unplug it. If I remove SHTFT and LTFT it works as it should.

I updated the inTune this morning and it hasn't solved the problem. Is there anything else I can do to solve this?

Thanks.

PS. I've tried emailing tech support for help but none of my computers will load the code at the bottom of the page.

can you post a copy of the info.xml file from the intune drive please?
what version of DV are you using?
What vehicle is it?

Thanks

The car is a 2012 Mustang V6.
I'm using DV 3.3.0.9 (I'm just using the hand held to record, not hooking it up to the data viewer.)

ou are on a very old test app, load this to the tool, then select restore default PIDs, and record again, shouldn't have to add anything to whats being logged by default.

Thanks

Thanks Mike, I'm not sure how I ended up with that test app but everything works now.

I updated the device before trying this, does updating the intune not update that?

When you're on a test version, you have to manually click "check for updates". Otherwise, the tool thinks its up to date when it auto queries.

Hey I am having the same problem as well. I did everything when I restore default it works but when I select the PIDs that I want they go back to max value. I don't use data viewer, just the hand held to record.

Which PIDs specifically are you selecting that this is happening?

Also I recommend you take your's back to stock and then update the tools tune database if you're having any idle issues.

Have you went to configure and restore default pids with the tool plugged in and the key on as well? If so lemme know the pids you're selecting as well.
