any plans on TPMS deletion or programing

Post by greenbaron81 »

I was wondering if you have any plans on adding a fonction to delete the TPMS (i have 2009 Ford with strap sensor and they are crap) or at least set the type of sensor used(strap or on-valve)?

completely deleting or bypassing the system would be awesome (i've heard of one of the h&s tuner doing it, but their products are for diesel trucks only and really expensive)

btw i love what the intune did to my crown vic :D keep up the good work

no.. can not do anything about TPMS... it's not a function of the ECM or TCM tunes/modules...

best/only option I have seen on a GM is to flash the other modules as a vehicle that did not have TPMS, but, this could lead to the loss of other functions, you'd have to try to find out, and you'd need a friendly dealer or someone with GM tools to make it happen.

As far as i remember, TPMS is considered a safety device, just like air bags, so even tho they can shut it down, it's to risky for them to do it.

Just wont happen.
