Axle ratio

Hi

I want to change the axle ratio to 2.65 but its not aviable in trinity
Why???

no, Eurocharged Performance will flash my tcm

the Question is:
my car has 2.65 axle ratio and they will programit as 2.65

do u think i have to change it in trinity??

why do you have to reprogram it, if you never changed them?

Are you get 2.65 by multiplying the rear end gear by the transmissions overdrive gear? Thats not how it works. Thats the Final drive. The axle ratio is 2.82.

A lot of the new cars use a 2.65 ratio stock...

they are asking for my gear ratio
is it 2.65 or 2.82 like 2009 ?

you do not need to tell the tool what your stock ratio is. you only change this if the gears were changed.

This is where I'm getting confused too. I'm seeing places saying "final drive axle ratio" as 2.65. But with an overdrive transmission, the final drive and the axle ratio aren't the same. From what I gather, the axle ratio is 2.65. 5th gear is 0.83. The final drive is 2.20.

So if you have 2.65 gears stock, you don't need to make any changes in the tune. The tuner reads the computer and knows whats in there.
