Prolific Driver Issue for Win7 64

I am attempting to connect my U7137 to my laptop running Win7 64bit, however when I do, it says that there is an issue with the driver when I check Device Manager. I tried reinstalling the driver, however the issue still persists. I am using the file named PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstall_v110.exe. This the correct version for the blue and silver Serial to USB cable, correct? Also, my laptop has USB 3.0, though this shouldn't be an issue.

try following these instructions, assuming it says cannot start code 10 in the device manager:

Code 10 it is.... tried the different links to the drivers in the doc and am still getting the same error on two different laptops. I'll try a different cable, but before I spend $30 on a RS232 --> USB, is there anything contained within the 9r14 CROM that would benefit a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7? I have 9r13 currently on my Predator and it seems to work great, so not sure if it's even worth the hassle.
