Unable to tune vehicle

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 5.3. I have loaded and unloaded stock tunes a few times before without any problems. I usually unload a tune either when updating the intune or bringing the truck in for service.
This time around, I unloaded the tune to update the device. Went to tune the truck again, it gets all the way through the ECU part, then 97% on the TCM then states "fails" and gives me the option to load the saved factory tune. That loaded back with no issues.
I tried this a second time and got the same result.

How to a fix this issue, I hate to have a $350 rock to throw?

I received the intune as a Christmas gift. Followed all instructions and performed the original tune on my 2013 gmc z71 5.3L without difficulty. Then 2 days later I tried to retune to factory settings and the device freezes not allowing me to make any changes. Read some forums and downloaded the latest update to the device and still it freezes. So now my truck is stuck in diablo tune. Don't know that disconnecting my battery would return to factory settings. Have sent an email to tech support but that was Friday and may not get response until the business week. Have to say I'm not happy with the product at this time but hopefully they will promptly resolve the issue. Until then looks like I'll be paying for high octane fuel.
