I believe there's a 2gb max size allowed on the sd card...

Its hard to find a 2gig SD card these days. I went to radio shack, K-mart, and staples i drove around despertly trying to get my hands on a vintage 2gig sd card.none of these places had a 2 gig SD card. Minimum is 8gig. You'll have better luck ordering online.

I purchased a 1GB and a 2GB SD card on Amazon and they work fine.

An SD card is NOT required, the tool has plenty of storage for tunes and logs.
