Shift firmness

Post by rpmcortes »

whats up guys....recently got the intune for my 06' charger r/t,after a phone call to tech support and a calibration update my intune was ready to go. Ive since installed 91 CAI tune, car runs great but my question is in regards to shift firmness. Ive reset tcm adaptation before installing the tune, and then i adjusted "shift firmness" to "increased"..and Im just not getting those hard tire chirping shifts that im looking for........tires are brand new and I disabled esp (traction control).im not sure why im not getting nice hard shifts, any advice would be much appreciated....thx everyone

I'm not entirely sure if it's possible to get a better shift firmness from the inTune, but I have managed to get mine to chirp on shifting (also an 06 charger r/t). Just drive it like you would a manual (without the clutch, obviously). Get it close to redline, let off and shift, and floor it again.

That would also be my second suggestion. I've also been wanting to try that out, but haven't really gotten around to it. It does sound pretty neat though, especially with all the in depth changes, using arrow keys as paddle shifters, and adding a 0-60 run timer to the dash.
