verify custom tune loaded to trinity
i have a customer whose trinity has stopped working so he wants me to send him a replacement one. i have loaded the custom tunes i made for him, or at least i think i have. how can i verify that the custom tunes are actually stored in the trinity without having the truck here to verify? he can't bring the truck here because he lives 10 hours away so thats not happening. i sent 5 custom files to the trinity but it only took 1 second to send them and i just don't think they loaded. i just want to verrify before i send the tuner out and he gets a blank unit. although i could e mail him the tunes i'm sure.
Re: verify custom tune loaded to trinity
yeah, that's not going to work...
the custom tunes won't show up for him.. the trinity needs to have the copies of the original backup stock tunes saved in itself first, before you can load the custom tunes for the vehicle in it.... so that it knows what vehicle the custom tunes are for...
otherwise, they will not show up in the menu for him..
plus, did he have a tune installed to his vehicle from the trinity already, and then it stopped working? and he was not able to restore the original backup stock tunes to his vehicle right??
so then a new trinity won't work for him.. he's going to connect it and try to install a tune, and it's going to say that there's already a tune installed in the vehicle, and it won't let him go any further..
he'd need to get his vehicle ecm/tcm flashed back to stock first.. get the new trinity, install a preset tune so the new trinity saves the new original backup stock tunes to itself.. email you the original backups.. you create the custom tunes from those new backups.. email him the custom tunes.. then he needs to import them into the trinity, etc...
