If your getting the side by side VC80.MFC error when trying to run CMR 5 on windows vista, 7, 8 or 8.1... do a search and download vcredist_x86 version 8.0.50727.6195 here is the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2538242
I had it running on windows 8.1, 7 and even in VMware on windows 7 running on OSX. I debugged the error and its not the CMR software its the packer so its not the cmr programmers fault.
