Backup Original Error Codes

Post by ccolotti »

I just went to re-tune my wife's 2012 Jeep SRT8 and got the same error. I ran the auto update and the latest Firmware last weekend and is showing as 1r03t

It posted both Code 14 and Code 16 at about 21% and 60% all during the backup process. It took about 5 trys before it would back the original and write the tune. However, I was not 100% comfortable with that so I restored the backup and before I re-write the tune I'd like to know if I need something other than the firmware loaded.

I just ran update again as well and it looked like there was an update from last weekend for the tunes but not the firmware. Can someone confirm just brute forcing the backup is okay? It seemed to restore fine....

-Cheers

I just tried again and I am still getting "unable to backup original Error Code 16".....any ideas why? This worked fine before, and the dealer did do a couple flashes last week for some updates.

I am having the same issue except I cannot get past 2% while backing up the original tune. I've attached the info.xml file for my Unit.

I'm only getting code 16, was able to get it to 21% after calling in and doing a registry reset but still not able to do a full backup of the original tune. if it helps, Vas had answered my call

See attached just pulled from it now. This was updated this weekend, and I'd like to get the jeep re-tuned ASAP. My wife is noticing the lack of tune :)

Mike - My 2012 Jeep SRT is giving me the same error code as what is specified here. Every time it goes to backup the original tune I get an error code give here.

This really sucks as I just got this and cannot even use it.

I was really excited to see what this could do.

OK, can you post the info.xml file from the intune drive?

We'll have this sorted asap.

there have been a few different vehicles with this issue, not just an srt8 jeep issue. We should have a fix for this soon.

Assuming it will be an official update push to make it easy?

Any news? The fact it's taking a bit of time is making me curious what exactly the problem is in the recent updates that broke it. I should've left well enough alone and not updated it :/

Good afternoon Mike,

Any update on when an update will be realeased to solve this matter?

Also will you be able to shed any light on why the tuner is not working on the latest update?

I am really wanting to tune my ride for the first time ASAP or return this if you don't see a resolution in the near future?
