Diablosport tuner install, does the ECU need to adjust???

hello, just a quick question, just installed my preditor on my Trans am. question is im guessing the same for every tuner(intune-trinity) as well. After installing does the ECU need alittle time to adjust to the new change you did basically to adjust itself, then more and more time goes by it will start shower more responsive throttle and acceleration and so call "better" gas milage as well or once you install it it will show all the added gains immediately??
