Just received my i-1000 and went through the hour long update process. Then tried to tune/write vehicle and process fails with error message:
Failed to read ECM Original Backup, Error Code = 16
Car is 2013 Chevy Suburban 5.3l engine. Programmer serial number is X000IVUL3D
Need some help. Thanks.

That seemed to do the trick. Got through the process and now off to test drive - just 87 octane tune + turned off DoD.
