Verify changes?

Post by Silver2011 »

Is there a way to verify that I have programmed in all the modifications to the stock tune that I was attempting after the tune is programmed into the vehicle? Seems to me it isn't that hard to make a mistake and not actually program in the changes desired.

If you restore the vehicles "Original Backup", then your vehicle is back to stock with all the settings back to factory.

Don't want to restore it. Want to verify that what I have programmed in is really there. For example, I added 2* of advance in the 1K-3.8K range plus more. I would like to verify that all has been added and I did not make a mistake when actually installing the tune. With all the checks and x's,, ECM and TCM I may have made a mistake.

tell the tuner that you have tires that are twice as big or small as what you really have and then drive down the road and see if your speedo changed. that's how I found that mine was not doing anything (and changed the shift point to 3k didn't make a difference either)

After several attempts changing the tire size unsuccessfully I reinstalled the my tune after the size changes and it finally worked. I don't know if this the right procedure or not but it worked for me.

all you need to do is change your idle.. jack it a couple/few hundred rpms and install the tune... you'll see that it is indeed writing the tune.. ;)
