Here is what i do, and just did so i could write up this help post. plug your device in, when it brings up the window that says "Do you want to scan and fix, say no, then when the next window pops up, you will see Intune J: box, click on the "open folder to view files" button. minimize that window, now go to the file I posted above, or that is also posted on the first page of this whole thread. Save it to your desktop. when saved, drag the file to the box that you minimized. It'll automatically start the update process, leave the tuner alone. dont mess with it until it goes through its process. If that doesnt work you need to send customer support a message because I cant help any further than this. It's not rocket science but you have to be really patient while updating, the first time I tried to update mine it took over two hours to do its thing, some takes longer depending on how many updates it needs to be current. Hope this helps, and hope I have explained it well enough. By all means if I am wrong someone let me know because it seems to work everytime for me this way.

How long does it take once the intune window is open and the red bar is solid?
It says to "DO NOT UNPLUG!" but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

It takes some time, first time I ever did it was over 2hrs, then after that it didnt take long, but just let it do its thing, it will reset to the options screen when its done. If it stalls or freezes, id just do like I showed above, has never failed for me doing it that way. Ive noticed that sometimes the auto updater does not let you automatically update, i was told that a new update was ready, but when i tried to auto update it said it was up to date. But the file showed in the first post of this thread was newer than the one I had on my tuner, so i dragged and dropped it like my instructions showed, and it worked that way.

Software is tricky if you are a MAC user as I am, so getting started is a little tough, however just call or e-mail their tech support and these guys will have you going in no time, very friendly and responsive to the customers needs. Once installed the product works exactly as advertised.

if the software hangs on the PC, it does not mean the tool is still updating, you'll see the tool updating as the screen changes and says preparing, etc.
If it just sat on the main menu, it never imported the file, reboot it and it should start updating.

Thanks

How do I find out which firmware I have and which version of the tool I have. Sorry if this sounds stupid or repetitive?

Did my update today and it looks like this
Application: 1r03x
DCX TUNE DB: 1r01d (*)
FORD TUNE DB: 1r01q (*)
GM TUNE DB: 1r01x (ok)
DCX PID DB: 1r01b (*)
FORD PID DB: 1r01b (*)
GM PID DB: 1r01a (ok)
DTC DB: 1r01a (*)
VIN DB: 1r01c (ok)
INFO DB: 1r01b (*)

Is this OK?
I found the general update file but I could not find the specific tune files to update the intune with.
Any help appreciated.
