Huge issue trying to install dataviewer

this application failed to start because its side-by-side
configuration is incorrect. please see the application event log
or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more details

What the heck is this i cant install?
I need dataviewer to log for Johan any advice?

run this, then launch DV:

Thanks Mike worked, would usually do that after but it wouldnt work. That did the trick.

Now when i click the shortcut to open the program it says,

Another instance of the dataviewer is running.
please alt-tab to that instance and use it (or close it).
Alternately, wait a few moments and try again.

Omg why does this stuff keep happening any suggestions?

Is there a patch to get the DV to close cleanly so we don't have to go to the device manager all the time?
