Now when i click the shortcut to open the program it says,
Another instance of the dataviewer is running.
please alt-tab to that instance and use it (or close it).
Alternately, wait a few moments and try again.
Omg why does this stuff keep happening any suggestions?
thanks in advance.
Another dataviewer hiccup
Re: Another dataviewer hiccup
Kill the process....
What version of Windows are you running? From your original post I would think windows 7 64 bit?
Down on your task bar, right click and choose task manager. In that window, click the processes tab, and find dataviewer.exe*32, highlight it and kill the process. Then try to launch dataviewer again by right clicking the shortcut and choosing "run as administrator".
Have you rebooted your PC since the previous issues you were having as well?
Just some of my $.02.....

Re: Another dataviewer hiccup
Yeah that worked. Thanks, these programs got a lot of quirks don't they.
Re: Another dataviewer hiccup
Glad to help.
Actually the "quirks" come from the components required to run the x86 apps in the 64bit windows architecture. No biggie, always a way around it.
