Deciphering LTFT and STFT in datalog

Post by ssmotor »

I logged my 2004 F-150 using my U7151. The short term fuel trims all show number such as 0.9868. As I understand, 1.000 means there is no correction taking place so that 0.9868 value basically means that it's running rich and is pulling about 1.3% of fuel.

However, all of my long term fuel trims are showing numbers like 0.0168. Do the long term trims not reference 1.000 as the point of no correction? Is the mid point for the LTFT's 0? Therefore, is my truck adding 1.68%?
