To DS:
My car is a 2005 5.7L Chrysler with a K&N CAI. Otherwise it is stock.
I had first installed r18 (93 with CAI) a couple of weeks ago. Then when r20 became available I updated. I stiffened shifts and upped revs, and left the MDS enabled. All seems to be working well.
I have an MDS indicator LED, so I know when MDS is engaged/disengaged. In stock tune the engagement/disengagement of MDS was barely perceivable. With both the r18 and r20 tunes I notice that when MDS engages, and disengages, there is quite a pronounced "bump" (for the want of a more descriptive word), like the engine just misfired on a cylinder or two.
The tremor is so pronounced that I am concerned for the longevity of the powertrain.
What do you think? Is there a problem with the tune? Will there be a problem with the powertrain after a couple of thousand "bumps"?

RE: HARSH MDS ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE
This is due to the reduction is torque management, as the mds uses the same logic to soften the engagement/disengagement of mds.
You could either turn mds off or get a tune from us with torque management set back to stock, that will affect shift feel overall as well, ie. feel more like stock.
It should not cause any longevity issues with your powertrain if you leave as it is either.
