E85 in 2014 LT1 or L86?

Post by typhoon186 »

Is it possible to run 100% E85 fuel in a 2014 LT1 (C7) or L86 (truck) with only a custom tune? They are not flex fuel engines. Has it been done successfully?

That's good news. I expected some mechanical parts would have to be different or upgraded.

Have you guys tuned one for E85 yet?

No...we haven't.

We have run our Cadillac ATS 2.0T (non flex) on E85, and even converted one to work with the OEM flex fuel sensor.

Don't think I want to be the first.
Sounds promising for a hot tune though.

there is a fuel sensor in the fuel line that tells the PCM what amount of E85 is running
thru it and the PCM makes the adj to the eng for it. also diff pump and injectors.
