Sleep Monitoring

Post by Hornet »

Curious about this part of the programing.

I never changed the sleep monitoring on my Trinity when we installed it.
Went out to check on my 2013 4.7 Ram,and noticed my dash lights were turning on and off, with no key in the ignition.
I'm taking a wild guess this isn't supposed to be happening
Went into the sleep monitoring phase, and found the monitoring to be set at 5 secs, bumped it up to 31 secs, and the dash lights seem to be staying off now.
Is this normal, and is there a time setting i should be using differant from the 31 seconds i bumped it up to.
It said something about Challengers and under 30 sec's not being reconmended, that's why i picked the oddball 31 second shutdown.
Can you guys explain how this part of the programming works, and what the ideal time number should be.
Thanks
Rick

Back to being pissed again.
Went for an early morning high speed test, and now the flucking thing won't turn off.
I had to manually unplug it to get it to shut down.
Here's a novel idea, put a flucking manual overide switch on the damn thing.
This thing has been nothing but a nightmare guys.
I did like the high speed test as it's got a fair bit more speed, but when it won't shutdown, that took the smile off my face.
ARE YOU GUYS EVER GOING TO GET THE 4.7 VERSION FIGURED OUT.
Honestly i'm tired of pissing around with this thing, please make it right, cause as it stands,i'll never reconmend your product.
You know the old saying, one unhappy customer tells 10 people about his bad experiences, the happy customer tells one person about his good experience.
Right now,i'm the guy telling 10 people.

0 seconds and 60 seconds change the behavior entirely, i would suggest trying those 2 settings.

If you are this upset by it, I would suggest swapping it out for an inTune, as you seem to be enjoying the tunes.

Okay,i have some time to play with it this afternoon,i'll try those 2 settings.
Yes i like the tunes, and the fact i can set the part throttle shifts etc.,but my likes are a little short to justify the head-aches this thing has been.
10 days to finally get it installed, and numerous calls you guys,by the local speed shop to get it installed after i'd gave up on it,doesn't leave me pleased with your product Mike.
For the amount of money i have into your tuner,i expect it to work, maybe i'm weird, but for 600 bucks i expect a better experience.

Give some thought to adding a manual on/off switch,it's a royal pain in the butt to unplug and re-plug it in when i want to use the truck.

Okay i tried your settings, but found i had to stay between 31 and 35 seconds to get it to shut down.
I have it set at 33 seconds right now,and for the last 1/2 hour it seems to be acting right, both my gauges and the tuner have shut down for now.

Wondering about interior heat though.
The truck sits with the windows closed, and does get to well over a 100F inside when the windows are closed.
I noticed today when i first plugged the tuner in,it was on.
I measured the interior heat at 106F with a digital thermometer.
After playing with the tuner, with the truck running and the A/C on,it seems like as soon as the interior temp got under 90F,the tuner started working properly.
Does interior temperature affect the tuners ability to shut down?

If you want to cover shipping costs, and rebate me the differance in the cost between the 2 tuners,i might take you up on your offer of exchanging my Trinity for an Intune.
But i want the Intune pre-loaded as i'm not interested in going through the same head-aches all over again.

I cant imagine it being temp related, most if us here keep trinity's in our cars, and its been HOT here this summer, well over 100* in my car when I get in it at lunch time almost every day.
