inTune will not boot up

I have a new inTune that I'm trying to update for the first time. When I plug into the USB port, the device turns on and the red bar goes about 90% of the way and then stops. The Diablosport hard drive is not recognized by my machine. I'm running Windows XP.

I just bought this vehicle (2010 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.7L). The guy tossed in the iTune to sweeten the deal. The deal just turned sour, but its not a deal breaker. I'm having a similar experience that the fella above mentioned - device boots up, red bar about 90% along the bottom, then just sits there; computer does not recognize or see device. How much will it cost for you guys to work your magic on this device and get it working? It's not married to any vehicle. If I can get this thing going fairly inexpensively that would be great. Thanks for your time

out of warranty/no receipt repairs are generally $99 + shipping.
