Best case scenario, you lose power. Worst case, you blow the motor sky high. DON'T DO IT. :normal:

I've successfully run 87 Performance tune with 87 octane with some brands of fuel. Other fill ups I've had a good amount of knock counting doing that. Most people seem to suggest that with the canned tunes, you pretty much have to run the next level of octane to reliably run those tunes. From my butt dyno, I've had best performance results using the 87 performance with 89 or 93 fuel. I get knock when running 93 tune with 93 octane, and sometimes with 89 tune and some 93 fuels. Why this is, I'm not sure. You would think that DS would pull some of the timing advance on their canned tunes so they work better.

I usually run the MPG Booster on my truck since the majority of my driving is hwy to and from work, and I def see a small increase in fuel economy. It seems to run well regardless of 87,89,or 93 fuel, however I do get better fuel economy while using either 89 or 93 with the MPG Booster. Remember, these Hemi trucks recommend 89 from the factory.

I purchased the Trinity today for my 2012 Ram R/T, I have used programmers for the last 15 years on my vehicles, using the right grade of gas is very important, the right mix of fuel/timing will yield great performance. Most stations sale 87-89-93 octane fuels here in Loisiana, some fuels are better than others so Circle K, and Walmart are the worst choices. I run a bottle of Royal Purple octane booster, 30 points or 3 numbers with 93 octane fuel from Exxon, Shell gas stations ext. I also use Lucas octane boost if I can't find the other. I hope I don't have any issues with the Trinity, there are a lot of people that are having issues in one way or the other. When you spend that kind of money you expect a product to work as advertised. I will keep you guys posted, it should be here Wednesday.

Use NOS Race Formula booster. The Hemi LOVES the nitromethane kick in it. Will always reduce knock, unless its false.

4th gen Rams knock sensors are to sensitive. This is why a custom tune is key on them for solid performance when on the third gens a canned tune was pretty good.

If you have any interest let me know.
