Intune not wanting to write

Post by Ometh »

So, this issue started a couple days ago, and I am not sure if my cable went bad or what the deal is. I did some data logging a week or so ago, after putting a new tune in, everything was fine. I got an updated tune from my tuner 2 days ago, I went out to the car plugged everything in went to write, and it just just sits at turn engine on (not running) then goes back to the write menu. It does this over and over again and never seems to lock in. I am pretty careful with the unit and it goes back into its box everytime I am done with it. Just want to get it checked out before I go buy a cable, as it looks intact. Thanks

I just went and checked it, and no when I turn key on it stays the same way as write at the determining, then said unable to determine, then showed last one, and that info was all correct.

ok, so its not communicating at all...could be the cable or connector, I would suggest getting it sent in for us to check out and repair.

Edit: Ok I got a new cable and it didn't work in my car in any fashion. So as a control I plugged it into my girlfriends car to see if it would code read, and it linked up and read codes. So I am getting I may of a bad obd2 connector or some sort of electrical issue, will try to use another scan gauge on my car here and update.

Final Update Fixed. Alright, I am gonna post this so if anyone searches may give them an idea before they send their unit back. I had changed my battery over a few weeks ago, apparently changing over to a side fitting AGM battery when I had moved the wires, the body earth wire got pulled and was connected but not well. I had a buddy over as we brain stormed reasons, and voltage came up, we traced around and found the wire. I replaced it with a 4g and copper connectors. Put the reset the pcm, and then plugged in the diablo sport, the cable was still in it from before, and it worked, and has been disconnected and reconnected 4 times just to make sure. Maybe idea to check your earth wires if your having connection issues.
