91 octane tune

Post by Brian13RT »

I have a 2013 Charger R/T Road and Track with the 5.7L Hemi and 5 speed auto transmission.

My performance mods (other than the Intune DCX) include Magnaflow exhaust w/resonator delete and an LMI Hammer cold air intake. So basically, I have the popular intake/exhaust/tune combination.

Using the Intune DCX, I did the following:

1. Installed 91 Octane Tune
2. Disabled MDS
3. Increased Throttle Boost to 20%
4. Increased Speed Limiter to 190 mph
5. Increased Shift Firmness
6. Reset TCM Adaptives

While I did notice some extra pick up, I'm wondering if there is anything else that I can do with the tuner (utilizing my current mods) that will give it more? I'm not experienced as far as manually changing air/fuel/spark/timing settings and have heard of people really messing their cars up trying to change those.

So is there somebody on the Diablosport side that can recommend any additional adjustments? I just want to be sure that I don't start having any problems with retard/detonation or transmission issues.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hey Brian. It seems that's about max with this tuner unless you really start to mod. your ride. I have the Diablo Intune for my 11 RT max. It really only adds about 12hp from what is posted. I seem to feel the throttle boost the most. Anyway, I have always asked the question whether the tuner provides real performance gains on an otherwise stock RT. Ive never seen a real world comparison done to prove the tuner does or does not in fact improve 0-60 and quarter times. My butt dyno says no. lol

Throttle Response guys. Diablosport gives us that. I just pull tune out for a visit to the dealer. My Chally has been neutered. :(
