5.7 VS 6.1 engine

Re the different version nos. I am a bit confused here...I have a predator not yet installed-06 charger SRT.
How can one file upgrade a 5.7 and an SRT from the same file for best performance. Both are different engines.
Also how can one version give better performance than a later version per some of the posts I am seeing?
What am I missing here?

They are simply new software settings for the Predator.
Having the tool on the latest update will ensure that you are using the latest greatest tunes from us.
