Tried the predator on the 08 Charger...help

I have 08 Charger R&T and when I use raised shift points and raised limiter the car hits the limiter before shifing when I am driving in D at wot. When I shift it myself there is a lag before it shifts after I hit the stick.The rev limiter was raised as high as it woud go. When I just use one of the canned tunes the car shifts fine and firm at wot. I am not sure it will downshift to the lowest gear each time when you hit the gas driving along in D. If it does it seems to hesitate at times before downshifting. How many miles should be driven for a new tune to work right? Car is useless in autostick with anything other than stock tune. Thanks

I have found the predator a good tool for raised shift points and improved performance however some quetions about its operation just do not get answers. Either they assume we are doing something wrong or there just is no answer, as in the case of why my autostick disable stoped working on my 07 5.7. After following all the suggestions it still did not disable so I asked if there was anything I could do , and I never rec'd any answer. Sorry this is of no help to you but on my 07 it never hit the rev. limit, it just shifts by itself as if its in drive.

Can you post your calid, ao we can take a look at this?
Also, have you tried raising the rev limiter a bit manually to see if it helps?

I am beginning to think that there just needs to be some miles put on the car for the tunes to really work like they are supposed to. My autostick just keeps getting quicker and firmer. The car seems to get better the more I drive it. But in D at wot my car still hits the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift and I have the rev limiter raised +550 rpms. I am running the 91 tune with raised shift points. The 1-2 shift works fine. Something is not right for my car.

How is your shifting in autostick? Have you done any data logging to see if it is the rev limiter or the knock sensors? I can't catch the roads dry to try mine. Does your car shift ok without the raised shift points? I am running the 91 tune on a stock car. It seems to bog off the line with the tune but it doesn't when it is back to stock. I ran a Super Chips on my 05 Magnum. It takes time to get the kinks out of the tuners. I don't think they have quite all the bugs out of the Predator for the 08's yet but I think they will soon. They seem to stay interested.

To make a correction even my 1st to 2nd gear is also bouncing the limiter, wow this got annoying on my trip this weekend lol.

Kymag, I have not done any data logging yet, a friend has the laptop I use for cars so I should have that back tomorrow. I have not tried it without the raised shift points. I will be trying that tomorrow.

I totaly agree, Diablo seems to be working hard to resolve our issues, like anything we just have to bring it to their attention.

I experienced the limiter problem as well. I worked with a CMR dealer today to get the rev limiter 200 RPM higher than the tuner limit (effectively +800), and the problem is almost gone, but it is still occurring to some extent.
I think I can provide this +800 RPM tune if someone needs it.

yes I found that out. being retired and bored I even tried to replace vin and calid with mine in the program and that doesnt work either. As long as you are reading this I will ask again, Is changing my tcm the only way I will be able to disable my auto upshift on m y 07 charger?

The original problems tatement: With 2008 5.7L Charger, With the rev limiter set to max, and shift points increased, The car will still run into the rev limiter before shifting.
