Just purchased a Predator tuned 2007 Mustang GT

Post by electrotyper »

I just purchased a 2007 Mustang GT that came with a Predator U7145, and a "modify stock tune"
installed in the car. I had an old version on the Predator, so I restored the Original Backup tune back into the car,
and then updated the tool.
When I first bought the car, I plugged the Predator into the car's OBD port, and I noticed a handful of tunes in the custom tune category. They included AiRaid, modify stock tune, and a few others. (I would go out to the car and get a list, but Buffalo has gotten 70+ inches of snow, and I might not make it back to the house  )
Two questions come to mind (as I sit in the house going crazy)...
1. Will those tunes still be on the Predator after it has been updated? ... and...
2. Is there anyway to tell what was modified (if anything) on the modified stock tune that was on the car when
bought the car? I made copies of the Original Backup, and the Modify Stock Tune before I did anything else...
Learned from my 2006 Impala SS- Predator experiences. punisher: I have attached files, so that you can take a look
if you have some time...

Thanks

Just trudged through the 4 foot of snow to get into the garage... plugged in the Predator,
and had some tuned preloaded... and the Modify stock tune...
Question is.... does that just give me the ability to modify the stock tune, or will it remember what the previous owner modified in it last time it was installed? I'm assuming I would have to load my copy of the "modify stock tune" that I copied before I updated the tool... correct? Sorry... I making this so difficult!

modify stock tune is just a copy of the stock tune it initially read out that you can make changes to if you desire.

So if I made a copy of "Last Tune written", and it was a "modify stock tune" that had its' original parameters changed...
would my copy that I backed up to my computer have kept the changes? And could that backup be reloaded into the car as a custom tune?

^^^ I'm thinking it would be the stock tune without changes, because I copied it out of the Predator... not off of the car's OBD port. So I copied the stock tune that the Predator put into the car... not the adjusted tune that was in the ECM, PCM or whatever! Should have copied it off of the car... :punisher: Correct????

No, nothing saved to a pc can be reloaded, the tool always stores the backup internally.
