Error Loop First Time Tunning

Post by vkelley315 »

Vehicle: 2012 Ford Taurus SHO (listed as a supported vehicle)
Okay first time trying the inTune and appear to be in an error loop. Issue so far:
1. Connect inTune to PC, according to the auto-update inTune is up to date
2. Connect to Vehicle, attempt initial tune, get back PCM calibration error needs update
3. Click Green check which according to this forum sets the request update flag
4. Disconnect from vehicle reconnect to PC.
5. Attempt update get Calibration ID Error: DMJKVZA (Which judging by other forum posts is the inTune serial number)
6. Follow other procedure found that says go to Advanced > Clear All Updates > Reconnect to PC and Update
7. Attempt this and get the inTune is up-to date message when connected to PC (which now brings us right back to step one).

Tried this loop a few times to be sure and yep, if you clear updates it reads good but is unable to tune the vehicle, and then errors on updating.
