performance tune with stock tranny
I installed the performane and economy tune to my 07 dodge cummins and was wondering if this tune is okay with the stock tranny? I have a 5" MBRP on order also, should I just put the 60 rwhp in it with the exhaust or will it be okay with the performance 100 rwhp and exhaust. Any info would be appreciated.
RE: performance tune with stock tranny
Those tunes are fine for stock trans, the extreme tune is pushing it and the extreme rkl will definitely need trans upgrades. You will be fine with the Performance tune and stock exhaust.

what about the performance tune with a 5" MBRP cat back and a volant cold air. I have been on the cummions forums and they suggest That i need a torque converter and valve body. I don't race the truck or tow anything but I do have tools in the bed that are about 5-600 extra pounds added to the truck. what do you think Johan, should I be okay with stock?
RE: performance tune with stock tranny
Sorry for the delayed response, you should have no trans issues using the performance tune and if you drive normal. A converter does help these trucks big time and while you do that do the valve body. But they are not necessary when running the regular performance tune.
