I have been busy becoming familiar with the Trinity 91 Octane Tune on my 2013 Charger R/T 5.7l AWD Hemi. Today I selected Performance and then selected the 91 Octane Tune followed by selecting the Modify Tune option. I then selected the MDS option and selected the OFF option. After clicking on Enter and allowing the Trinity to load the modified tune, I took the car out for a test drive. I noticed that even though I had chosen MDS off that th ECO light in the EVIC was still coming on and off depending upon the load on the engine. I then went and did the whole thing over again thinking maybe I might have not selected correctly, but I had the same result on the second test drive.
My questions are does the MDS OFF menu item work on 2011 and newer Hemi's? If it does work is it normal for the ECO message in the EVIC to continue to cycle on and off the same as if the MDS was on? If the ECO light should not go on and off when selecting the MDS off item, could you offer some advice as to what might be wrong with my Trinity or Tune.
The ECO message does not come on if I use the Paddle Shifters or Console Shifter in Autostick Mode so I know that the vehicle is working properly.
I would appreciate any help or information regarding this matter.
