intune not updating

I have updated the intune before when I put it on our charger now I have returned the charger to stock to tune my 04 hemi ram when I plug it into the truck it says it needs an update to read the vin now im trying to auto update the intune and its not preparing,writing,or,verifying but says on the pc DO NOT UNPLUG updates loaded to inTune it will reboot automatically. this process may take several minutes, please be patient
the last time I updated it took several minutes but the intune itself was loading things so I knew it was working it doesn't seem that it is working now

it's not an inTune-DCX model is it? inTune-DCX tool will not work on the 2004 ram..

but regardless of that, it would still update itself..

unplug the tool from your PC.. wait 30 seconds.. then reconnect it, and it should pick up where it left off...

i have the intune i-1000 not sure if that is the dcx model or not how do i find that out if it helps it work on my 08 charger just fine will try unpluging

it would show it on the box.. part number would be i-1000-DCX

if it's the regular i-1000, you're fine...

ok then i just have intune 1000

unplugging it for the 30 seconds did work to get the update going however it restarted and didnt pick up were it left off but never the less it did work and the truck is tuned. The tuner really feals like it unleashed the beast on the 08 charger i have but the trucks tune seems fairly mild wondering if its just because 04s tcm isnt supported like the 05^s or the chargers stock tune just actually left that much more power on the table
