U7158 Predator v.8r7 won't save tune changes ??

I recently swapped my blower for a ported one and also deleted the PCV system and EGR while it was all apart getting cleaned.
I have a old predator tuner v. 8r9 which still has the option to shut off egr.
I go into the tunes ( 91 octane tune ) then to modify tune in OBDII settings shut off egr switch then load the tune.
Service engine light goes off and code p1401 ( differential pressure feedback EGR circuit high input ) is cleared I drive it to my destination all is good.
As soon as I shut off the truck and restart it the code and service light are back on. I go back into the OBDII settings for the egr switch and its turned back on ?
Is there a step I'm missing, why wont it save ? Thanks in advance for any help

cant say I have ever seen that, either way, if it loads the tune the tune on the pcm cant change, but it sounds like you are just clearing the code when loading the tune...
