I want to upgrade my gears to 3.55, but I do not want to have to send out my TCM. I tested out changing the ratio in quick adjust settings, and it seemed to work: 1) the trinity said that "the gear ratio were successfully changed"; and 2) my car was put into limp mode (I could not get out of 2nd gear or use autostick).
This seemed like a good sign to me so I am about to pull the trigger on the gears soon.
I already have a custom TCM with raised shift points that was a PITA to get to work properly so I want to avoid having to send it out to get new gears at all costs.
Has anyone done the swap? Any successes?
