Poor man's custom tune

Want to have a couple of tunes available for mild and then wild driving options.

Some questions:

1) Can I copy the latest LastTuneWritten.grg tune off my Intune, rename it, and then drop back onto my Intune to create what I'll call a poor man's custom tune?

2) Since there is a ECM LastTuneWritten.grg file and TCM LastTuneWritten.grg file, would I do the same to both (providing the answer to question 1 is something that can be done)?

3) Do adjustable Parameters also get saved into the LastTuneWritten.grg files?

Any advice would be appreciated.

OK,
So I did my own homework (As I should have done in the first place).

With the Intune connected to the PC:

1) a. I copied both the ECM & TCM LastTuneWritten.grg and saved under a unique name ECMCustomTune.grg and
TCMCustomTune.grg to a folder on my PC hard drive.

b. I then dropped it back into my Intune "Tune" folder and the Intune accepted it as a custom tune.

2) Answered in 1) above.

3) RTFM... Manual says adjustable parameters will be incorporated into tune after you set them and then write the tune.

So I guess I can tweak settings and make more custom tunes by following those steps. Then I can get rid of the custom tunes that are older and were used to get to just a couple of good Mild & Wild tunes.

Yes I know it is no where the same as having One of the Professionals create a true custom tune, but this method is good for now.

Now to see how well the vehicle receives these new custom tunes....

I just did this. Tomorrow I will upload to truck and tweak the parameters Mainly looking for firmer shifts and less to 0 torque management
