2014 Charger RT transmission issue

Post by Stryker88 »

I've had the 93 tune on my charger for about 2 months with no prior issues (loved it in fact) but today I went to take off out of a parking lot and its like the car kicked into neutral. It was in drive but the motor would just rev as if it were out of gear (check engine light came on but scanner said no error codes present). I parked the car, installed the back up and reset the tool. Warning light went away and it drove fine. What the h*ll happened?!? Anyone else had this issue? I'm not reinstalling until I know what the problem was. Thanks for any help!

Limp mode. It is designed to protect the drive train when not warmed up.

It was 87° outside and I had the car running for around an hour all throughout town. Intake temps were around 130°......

just shutting it off and re-firing it will resolve it.
