2005 Mustang GT u7140
Hi there, I was wondering if you guys would be able to help me with a couple things. I have a 2005 Mustang Gt with a Jlt CAI series 3. I got a custom tune from you guys for the intake cause of the running lean issue. A couple months ago when I got the tune, my car calid used to be PCM_FBJR3G5 and that what was on the files i uploaded. Now when I go to install it I run into the issue that now my car calid is PCM_FBJR2G3. I was trying to figure out how that would happen. I didn't adjust any tunes or go to a dealer or anything. It seems to me that its a down grade in calid. I plugged the tuner into my PC to update it and there wasn't an option for a cal update. Is there a force update that be done for calid? I've noticed everyone else in the forums in the past couple years have the PCM_FBJR3G5 calid, it'd be nice to have it also. It seems any one else with this problem has just gotten their tune edited to the correct calid. So I was hoping some one would be able to help me if I upload the back up and last written tune on here. I'm sorry to sound long winded, just trying to give as much information as possible. Thank you for everything you guys do for the forum!

both the backup and ltw are based on the cal you say is currently in the pcm, which means thats the same cal that was in the pcm when the tool initially read the stock tune.

Yes but thats not the correct cal I have an adjusted tune for. The corrected tune file I have is for FBJR_3G5. I'm not able to load that one. So I was hoping someone can help by adjusting the last written to the maf slope of the jlt series 3 intake. Pretty please?

you need to have the new tune made from the current backup file, i dont know how or where you got the other tune but you need one that matches your cals....have the tuner who made the file just make a new one based on your backup you posted here.

That is the current back up and the last written tune that's installed right now, its the jlt tune that came with the predator. Is there something wrong with the tool or my car? Are those not the tunes that there should be? I just pulled them this afternoon, and to make sure I returned my car to stock tune, then updated the tool and reinstalled the jlt tune. Then pulled the back up and last written and posted them.

Are there any trouble shooting I can do? Should I update the tool again and try it again?

I tried again. I returned car to stock, updated tool, installed jlt tune, pulled back up and ltw and it still says custom on it. I checked the tool for custom tunes, its says it doesn't have any. I don't know what to do, I'm just desperate to have a healthy car.

Im not seeing a problem sir, if you are looking for a custom tune, have the tune use the backup file you posted here to make the new tune, and it will load to the tool just fine.

Is it possible for me to add the maf slope my self? What do you guys normally adjust it to for the jlt series 3, is it 10% up?

custom tune is the best idea.
thats all you need is the S3 JLT CAI changes?
