The truck is a 2014 Longhorn 6.4 with 3.73's. It's oil patch truck and it takes a beating in Northern Alberta.
The dealer advised me to do an update on the unit. I got the DS software uploaded but there was no update necessary. It took twice to do it and since I'm not computer savy I don't know what I did wrong the first time and how I made it work the second time but it worked and the DS app is on my desktop now. I also registered it.
Now to for the fun stuff. It was easy to set up for my truck and it took about 30-40mins to do the initial tune. No issues.
When it was done, it fired up with no warning lights or issues.
The truck preforms the way it should've from the factory. Driveability is much better and it definitely pulls harder. I used the pre-programmed 87 octane tune. I can imagine a high octane and CAI upgrade would really make this thing go but I just want the driveability that was missing form the factory.
Backstory, real reason I got the Trinity is for a 2007 Cherokee SRT8. I've been driving it stock all along and decided to go for a CAI and Trinity. I'm going back the patch on Saturday so I decided to install into the truck today just to see how it does.
Anyway, if you have 6.4 Ram this is worthwhile. I'm just interested in the tune and unplugged it for now but will put it back to stock and do the SRT tomorrow.
FYI, I hit the back roads and set the 0-60 to movement and got this 7000# brick to 60 in 8.62 with 20" Duratracs. I know can easily beat that if I work it lol
Have a good one
