Inquiries on diablo custom tune and knock retard.

Post by uptownV »

Hello,
I'm having some trouble with my trinity and as soon as it gets fixed, I'm planning to get a Diablo custom tune.
Regarding this tune, I have several questions.

1. My mods are currently Airaid, Corsa(only the end mufflers) and a 2.55 pulley. and I am plannng to get new injectors.(=ID850) Are u able to access(?) or adjust my tune while i have larger capacity injectors?

2. Do i need separate tunes for winter and summer as the weather changes? if so, is the second tune supported for free within a year?

3. Are u able to lower the KR down to zero? or safe enough?

Lastly... What is the difference between Knock retard and knock spark retard?
which parameter should I be concern more and which one is the general meaning of "KR" that people always talk about?

and Diablo tune stands for 93 octane tune for CTS-V. correct?

Sorry for buch of questions.

Thanks!

1. The injectors will require a custom tune from one of our cmr tuners.

2. No...

3. The stock tune likely knocks plenty....knock is the pcm doing its job to pull spark and keep things safe ;)

The diablo tune is the 93 octane tune, yes.

Thanks

Can you also help me with the Last question which was asking the difference between knock retard and knock spark retard?

Which one refers to "knocing" in general speaking?
