vin number not correct, theft light blinking.

i bought a predator from a friend for my 04 mustang gt and when i went to install a tune, everything went perfect but after the tune was done i did as the programmer said and then i tried to start my car and it wouldnt start. the theft light just blinked and blinked i dont know what to do, i went in and did a restore from the back up and it still wont start, i went in to settings and looked and it does not have my vin number, it has a different vin on the programmer itself, but it said when he restored it that it went back to nothing in that secton but now it pops up a random vin number..

please help!!

sounds like you got a tool that was in recovery when you started, and you allowed it to restore a stock tune from someone elses car to your PCM....

Going to need to get it to a dealer for a reflash unfortunately.

Shop what do I do with the tool? Is it unmarried or what?

*so what do i do about the tuner then? is there any way to get it unlocked? or is it already unlocked? i would really like to use it, i had(borrowed) a intune for a little while and i loved on what i could do with it but the predator does basically the same thing just a little slower, is there anything that you all can do to unlock it for me? because i will be taking it to the dealership to get it reflashed.

if it finished restoring the tune to your car its unlocked, does it boot normally to the main menu?
what does it say for options.show last tune written?

it boots normal and when i go to that it says backup and it lets me click it and it shows the vin number for the other vehicle but it was on my car. when you go to the vin number on the tool it says the some one. i just want to know if there is a way to unlock it or to open it to where i can use it once i get back from the dealership.

then its still married to the other car.

it can be unlocked by restoring that car assuming it works, or for 4129 by paying for the unlock request under support on our site.

ok, how would I pay for it, I will be taking the car to the dealership this Friday and I would probably get it back around Tuesday or so, would I be able to do it that Friday to get the tuner unlocked?
