Hello Tuners.
I recently had my resonators removed from my 2014 Challenger RT Plus and have noticed a reduction in my off the line power. The car is not as snappy. I have my throttle boost at 10% on a 91 tune. Can anyone make recommendations on what I should do to regain some of this bottom end power? Increase throttle boost? WOT Fuel/Spark?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Torque Loss with Resonator Delete
Thats because off the loss of backpressure. The Hemi likes backpressure. Tuning isn't gonna get it back. Best you can do it hope to mask it.

Thanks for the reply Mike. That's unfortunate. Guess I'll have to invest in the Borla S-Type exhaust, which is on the wish list. Now I just have to convince the wife to let me spend the cash.Mike_Levy wrote:Thats because off the loss of backpressure. The Hemi likes backpressure. Tuning isn't gonna get it back. Re: Torque Loss with Resonator Delete
Thats going to make it worse. You're taking out even more backpressure. You're making top end horsepower at the expense of low end torque. Backpressure increases velocity, which makes low end torque. Flow decreases velocity which makes top end horsepower.
Is your car an automatic? What I usually suggest is make the motor flow freely to maximize the horsepower, then put on a high stall torque converter with a high torque multiplication (aka STR - Stall torque ratio) to take advantage of it. That will get the motor into the powerband quickly and maximize the torque you do have.
