need help please.

Post by agoertzen »

hi there I am having a problem with my intune I-1000.
cant restore the last tune written it say last tune failed to install. press the checkmark to install the original backup then I get an unexpected error and it creates a log.
then I goto install the original back up and I can leave it in the car for hours and it will not get past zero.
there are no files in the tunes folder.

I'm no expert, but i'd say there being no tunes in the tunes folder is the problem... Somehow they got erased?? Did you save the tunes folder to another location in case of a situation like this? Does it still say its "married" to a vehicle?

If you didn't save the tunes folder then I'm going to guess if the current tune is not what you need then you may have to go to the dealer and reflash the oem tune back and start from scratch. If the current tune is good, then leave it and don't worry, but then the intune won't work except to datalog and as a code reader...

The tuner still has my vin in it. I cannot remember if I ever saved anything from the tunes. I have only ever used the stock ones it came with.
just checked my pc.. I saved nothing from it.
Last year was pretty much the last time I used my in tune. I returned everything back to stock and it it was safe to unplug so I did. I really don't know how it would have kept my vin if everything was safe to unplug after the restore last year.
