2014 Silverado 6.2L load failed

Post by CrazySilverado »

I have 2014 Silverado LTZ z71 with the 6.2L.....

I attempted to load the built in Diablo Tune into the truck but the Trinity came back with a Write Fail (sorry i don't have the specific error message) and re-inserted the Stock Tune (i believe). I did notice that during the upload process i saw messages come on my truck console screen about steering assist reduced and a service message about the transfer case... i have not seen those come back on since the Trinity reloaded stock

in the supported list it shows 2014 6.2 but nothing specific about 4x4....so i just wanted to confirm that my truck is actually supported by the device.

Thank you for the assistance.

yes that truck is supported.. and those messages on the DIC screen during a tune install are normal, so no issue there either..

make sure you have the tool updated to the latest updates..

make sure anything aftermarket installed in the truck is disconnected...

everything turned off inside the truck..

key turned to ON position..

then tunes should install fine..

Thank you for the help.

i just got back in town so i finally tried it again.... i guess there maybe an issue with the Trinity working with Windows 8 or with the Windows Surface. I moved it and plugged it into a windows 7 machine and the update for the tool (which i did originally on the windows 8 machine) went through.

i was able to get the diablo Tune loaded and all is good thus far.

one question i do have, as you're going through the menu and you wanna make other changes to the tune (like tire size, auto cylinder shutoff, etc), can you make those changes to the pre-installed tunes as well or is that limited to the stock tune.

Thanks again for the help

yes you can modify the preset tunes the same way.. select the preset tune you want to install, then select to Modify the tune, etc...
