Issues with Throttle Boost, 2014 Sierra

I have the most recent update and have installed the 87 flex tune (no additional throttle boost) with DOD and Torque Mgmt turned off. It is shifting at very low rpms especially the 2-3 shift that many other on this thread have experienced. Any update on when this might be fixed?

Also, I noticed that anytime I install a tune, the steering is rather stiff the next day? Does the ECM tune by any chance affect the steering sensor in the 2014-2015 GM trucks?

I have a 2014 Silverado and I'm experiencing the same things as what is written about. I don't know if the 91 octane tune has the same problem but I'm running the 87 and when you enable throttle boost, it definitely has a short shift bog happens between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd shift. In order to avoid it you have to really get on the pedal and cause the RPM's to come out more otherwise if your driving easy and then you get on it a little it bogs out. I'm also hoping to see something may be adjusted in the can tunes that would be posted out as an update. I looked and can't find anywhere where theres any settings thay can be adjusted for partial throttle shift points or RPM otherwise I would have made some adjustments myself.

Sure hope so! I am sorry you are having the same issues with the tune as me - but glad someone else is experiencing it with the most recent update as well.

I am seeing some guys over on the Gm Fourms having the same issues as us too.

Its tolerable, but I have to think there a small adjustment that could be made to fix that 1-2 shift. If you're a very light on the throttle its not there, if you're very heavy on throttle its not there, but if you're somewhere in between it does that short shifting where it bogs from 1-2 (after its in 2nd). I would think there could be a setting that could be tied to the amount of throttle that could possibly make the adjustment.

Mike/Vas... if I uploaded my tune files do you guys think you could take a look a see if theres anything that could be done to help the 1-2 shift out some?

Edit...I just performed the latest update with the DiabloSport tonight. I'm not sure if the update makes any difference but what I am sure about is, if you set throttle boost to 0% it gets rid of the short shift problem from 1 to 2. This is with 87 tune, afm off, speed limit off, tcm is firm shift and for the hell of it I turned torque management back off. I still don't feel any difference between on or off with torque management, just figure something has to be quicker/more power with it off. So to recap, turn trottle boost off. Turning throttle boost off doesn't make that much of a difference to pedal feel but it does allow the pedal to be depressed a little bit more and keep from bogging the truck due to too much fuel and also allows the truck to rev a bit more between first & second.

Mike, would the new update have anything in it to solve this problem?

Would it be possible to explain why some don't have the short shifting issue and others do, both with exact same settings on the 87 Flex Tune? Thanks in advance!

Ok Mike, here are my files. This is 87 flex, AFM=off, Speed limit=off, and throttle boost at 12%, On the TCM side, its firm shift and torque management is on (in the tcm parameters). One other question, what does that torque management do? I cant tell a difference with it on or off. Btw, its a 2014 Silverado 5.3L.

Posted them. Did you ever get a chance to take a look at the files? Also I was wondering what torque management does, the setting in the TCM that you can turn on or off. For me it doesn't seem to make any difference so I was wondering what it's supposed to do...

I guess I'm in the same boat. 2014 silverado 1500 6.2L. 1-2 & 2-3 shift have a delay. almost like a 1 sec defuel between shifts. this has driven me crazy for about 6 months now. If you find time, I would like to see if your improvements could correct this for me as well. I'm posting my files and appreciate any fixes you may have.
