Issue Installing Tune

I purchased an 08 Avalanche LTZ this past weekend and decided to use the inTune for it, since the TA is running HPTuners due to transmission tuning. Connected inTune to Avalanche, chose 87 Octane Tune, it backed up the stock tune, I adjusted some basic parameters such as fans and DoD, went to upload the DS tune and the device returned a serious error occured please contact DS. Hmmm, chose OK and unplugged the device. The truck started fine afterwards.

Checked the device and it shows last tune written was the 87 Octane Tune. I attempted to unmarry the device from the truck and the inTune keeps locking up when the scroll wheel is spinning. Attempted a few more times but same issue. Attached the backup tune files to the thread.

Any info let me know before I try to unmarry the device. Would like to be sure it everything is working properly before I begin to data log. Thanks.

the pcm seems to have been previusly tuned, did you see a message about sending us the pcm file?

This must go in conjunction with my other thread: http://diablosport.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 54#p285054. Can consolidate here since it appears it may not be an inTune update issue. Yes, the prompt appeared to send in the file. Another odd thing is when I attempted to just simply use the inTune as a scan tool it would lock up as well.

Interesting test this evening. Attempted to scan for codes with the inTune but it locked up while the spinning wheel was trying to read the PCM. Tested the inTune in the TA to scan for codes and worked fine. Tested in my Sunfire and works fine as well.

I know that the 87 Octane Tune is installed since when I originally uploaded the DS 87 tune I made a change to the fan settings to come on early at 192, which they do. So right now the 87 tune is loaded even though the inTune locked up while it was attempting to install it. I cannot restore the factory tune that was originally in the truck since the device locks up. I dont want to brick the PCM so will wait for any assistance from here.

it is looking for updates for 2 other vehicles for some reason.

Need to restore to the VIN posted before it will work in another vehicle, and go to settings.advanced/ckear all updates to get rid of the current update requests then start from scratch and let me know.

The VIN listed is for the Avalanche. The other two vehicles would be the TA and GTO, which are unmarried. Whenever I attempt to restore factory tune the device locks up.

Back at this.

I cannot unlock the inTune from the Avalanche since the device keeps freezing. Even when I attempt to scan for codes it will freeze. Tested on my other cars and works fine. Currently the inTune is stuck. I need to get it unlocked so I can use it on one of my other cars.

BTW, scanned the Avalanche with HPTuners and the inTune was not loaded. Compared current tune in truck to the backup stock tune and they are the same. Nothing changed so the inTune is not loaded but is married to it. Suggestions?
