U7130 Speed Limit Delete and Higher Rev Limit

Post by Streetsmoker »

Just wondering if you guys ever plan on adding this function??? Seems all the other Predator DL's for every other make has this except ours.

The rev and speed limiters on the Dodge cummins are very complex, we are working on rev limits but we have no dates nor definate answer if we will have them at this time.

Not the answer I was hoping for, but an answer none the less. Thanks Johan, I'll be looking forward to being a beta tester for that function if or when it ever comes out!!! Cause I'm allready trapping 113mph in the 1/4 with the speed limiter kicking in with about 100ft of track left.

Just curious as to why it's so hard? I was told it's cause those two parameters are tied into the ecm's ABS and odometer signals to intentionally prevent them from being tampered with. I know you can bypass it all by pulling the ABS/VSS fuse but I hate that I have no speedo and due to not having a VSS signal, the tranny acts up sometimes. Heck, even Marco at Mad's Electronics (the Smarty people) haven't figured it out yet.

It is because it uses a complex logic to cut the fuel, with a bunch of linked limiters in various places in the program.

So thats why so many have given up on curing this probem. Everyone knows, that this is the only thing holding the Common Rail Cummins back.

Yes, I have not given up though, just need some time as getting that done would be HUGE on the cummins.

i tried removing the fuse and things were good but i had way less power.does the speed sensor effect the way the computer fuels?i have a stick so i had no tranny issues and i dont care about the speedo.i was just hoping for full power and no speed limiter.
