Standard features... "not yet supported" ??

Post by LHC_Tech »

Tool: intune i1000
Vehicle: 2012 Camaro SS, L99, Auto
Mods: CAI, Cat back 3" with muffler delete.

Need some feedback on issues with brand new inTune.

1. When attempting to configure Gauge units my screen reads "inTune Gauge Unit selection is not yet supported".

2. What is the default for COT on 91 octane tune? Is COT turned off? On? and does this match OE config or is it tweaked? If so, what & how much?

3. Data log playback on inTune gives same error as gauge config- "inTune log playback is not yet supported"...is this a glitch? I re-forced the update but no difference.

Otherwise loving the tool, desktop log Reader & DSLogRedux!! Thank you!

1 - correct - you can not change the units of measure at this point, it is an unsupported feature, but will be a future update...

2 - COT (Catalytic Over Temp protection) setting is not changed from stock...it is still enabled and at stock setting/temps...

3 - correct - you can not play back a data log on the intune at this point, again - will be something available in a future update... after you record a data log with the intune, you need to copy it from the intune's LOGS folder to your harddrive, and then you can open it in the DataViewer program on your Windows PC and play it back, or even better - export it to a csv file and open it in Excel....

Thank you I appreciate the information and feedback. Everything works great otherwise I'll be patient and look forward to the update to allow the other features.

06MontSS,

I bought the InTune based on input from a friend at work. He mentioned that his friend was able to specify his CAI, exhaust and other add-on in his tune on his Silverado. So I bought the InTune I1000, thinking I could do the same with tuning my 2012 Camaro SS L99 with K&N CAI, Airaid throttle body spacer and Borla S-Type CAT back exhaust. I do not see any thing that will allow me to provide any input to specify these add-ons.

My question: How do I get the best performance out of my car, without the ability to specify these details in generating and applying a tune? I have applied the Diablo Tune (as I was told this was the 93 octane tune) with the mild shift. I do see/feel a difference, but don't know if I am really benefiting from the tune.

What can I look at/customize on the InTune to verify/obtain performance gains?

Or, do I need a custom tune?

Regards,

Don

That "friend of a friend" is full of crap. The GM trucks do not even offer a CAI tune, it's not needed. You can not specify your add ons with the inTune on that Silverado, he's telling stories.

Install the tune of your choice, do some logging, then make adjustments you need.

BlackZ71Silverado,

I am really a seeing is believing person and don't like to use the "friend of a friend", but I had no choice at the time. I do have an '03 Silverado, and could have connected it to that vehicle to prove/disprove the "friend of a friend" info, but really did not think about it until now.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I installed the "Diablo Tune" with the mild shift option. I feel the difference; however, yesterday while driving, the check engine light came on with two codes: P0171 and P0174. After looking them up, the discussions point to a "lean condition" or "a vacuum leak". As I did add a throttle body spacer, I will retorque those and check all connections from the cold air intake and monitor for the reoccurrence of the codes.

What would I need to look at in a log capture to determine if I am running lean? I was able to clear the codes, but dont' know what I need to review in the logs to determine what caused or what to change to prevent the errors again.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

It's now 2.5 years later, and the InTune still cannot change gauge units or playback a log. Any idea when this will be updated? Not to mention, the data viewer doesn't work at all.
I have a 2014 Camaro 2SS RS. Currently stock, but installing a Borla ATAK exhaust & CAI Cold Air Intake in the next few days.

Thanks,
Brad

Dataviewer will play the logs back and allow for gauge unit conversions, but not on the tool itself.

I can't get Dataviewer to install properly. No errors, but it doesn't show up in All Programs. I run 64-bit Win7 Enterprise, and am a local admin, so there's nothing blocking the install. It installs to Program Files, but the directory doesn't contain any .exe for the app itself. And it only shows drivers for the Trinity...

Scratch that. Rebooted & ran the setup again & it seems fine. No clue what was wrong...
