transmission tuning for 7194???

I know this is a sore subject but haven't been here in a while and wanted to know when the possible release of the trans stuff for the 7194. Also is anything else in the works for this programmer. My last update was to the 06 and now see a 10 was available so downloaded it and saw it just turned off the dod which I think is a huge mistake as I can get 20 mpg on the hwy with my 07 z71 tahoe.

I actually have better mileage with the DOD turned off and having the fueling adjusted properly...

DoD off here also, and my mileage went up...... slightly. Not getting 20 but it went up a shade. (93 tune)

with the all adjustments at wot how can you make it get better gas mileage????? I dont see how. If you get it into v4 mode and keep your foot out of it and really work at it you can keep the meter at 24+ miles per gallon. When it kicks back to v8 at the same rpm and speed it will lose 4to 8 mpg. So how can turning it off make it better? If I run under 70 I can get around 24 to 26 but drive 80+ most of the time when on the hwy so why I said 20 mpg. I got 18 running 95+ most of the time going to north carolina from florida in october and when I did that with my old 03 it was pushing 11 at best. I could see it at 18 to 19 in v4 and 12 to 14 in v8 mode. I wish I could keep it on longer when it is in 4th gear above 65 mph. If you could get a little more throttle to play with I think it would do better. Lower speeds really doesnt mattter as it is off most of the time other than when you let off the gas. Then law of average will get better gas mileage with the fact that if you let off and it goes to v4 vrs v8 it is going to use LESS fuel. I think it is in your head that you get better with it off. My old truck didnt come close to doing as good as this one. None of the trucks I have ever owned got 20+ mpg on the hwy. When tuner cat finally comes out with the def file for this thing I will set it up to do even better. I do know that their is not a couple of miles per gallon in the different front end of the new tahoe over the old and the new one is heavier but it gets better gas mileage and the only other major difference is the dod. Just for shits and giggles I will turn it off and see how it does driving to St Augusitne tomorrow which is 50 miles from me each way so I can get a good comparisons to the daytona drive where I got over 20 mpg and I will run the same 80 mph there and back. I will post what happens.

nope, not in my head... it's in real calculated data on paper...

cuz you can adjust the fueling for part throttle too, not just WOT... that's what the injector slope adjustment is for... it affects fueling in both part and wide-open throttle...

seriously though, didnt know if you saw my dyno post... but the tune isnt done yet, and i couldnt spin it very high... it still made around 288-290 rwhp and 305+ rwtq at 4800 rpm.

pretty decent for a small motor. i am figuring around 310+rwhp at 6000 rpm.... then i have that funny looking toggle switch on the dash.......for those Monte Carlos.
