Non-CARB use in California?

Ive been extremely interested in the Diablosport tunes since i picked up my 2015 charger scat pack.

Im currently Stationed in North Carolina but my home is in Los Angeles. This brings up a dilemma for me (Which ive scoured the internet and these forums for answers to), if i pick up a diablosport tune, it would be legal here in NC where im currently stationed, but what happens in California? what are the chances that I get caught with a Non Carb compliant tune in Los Angeles? how easily could it be discovered on my vehicle? if i decided to take it to the track In Los angeles, am i furthering this risk? and does anyone knows what legal repercussions i could be facing? sorry if this issue has been covered here already, but id appreciate any information before i shell out a grand on this product. I haven't heard of CARB issues with it. Nobody could tell its tuned, so how would they know?
