Tune is in the inTune. I need to burn up the rest of the gasoline and fill with E85 before installing it.

87 octane gas just blew through $4.25 here. E85 is sitting at $3.20.

We need full hard-drive replacement and reboot in Washington, D.C. Since the ruling class is chauffeured around they give less than a sh__ about oil and gas prices. I am double POd as we just spent $21,500 to replace the shingles on our home and business buildings. Shingle prices follow oil prices.

The E85 tune you "adjusted" for me is back in the truck. It is nice to have all that POWER back as well as the mpg. I get 22 mpg running at 60 mph on a two way trip including some town driving. On 100 mile trip today mpg was 18.9 @ 80 mph. I think those are great numbers for a vehicle with the aerodynamic faceprint of a truck.

It is a blast shutting down the traction control and manually shifting through the gears to 100 or so mph. It could be quicker getting to 100 with the traction control on but not near as much fun. If you demand the absolutely quickest launch I think 4WD without traction control could be the ticket. Further study is needed.

18.9 @ 80 is awesome, have you done the math on a full tank to see if that is close to actual mileage?
if so, thats great for a big truck, and even better for e85

I have done the math 6 different times.

With the upgraded 80 mph speed limit in South Dakota you can test all you want without keeping an eye on the radar detection device.

The range at @ 80 mph is 17.4 to 19.1 mpg. Headwinds hurt. Tailwinds help, but not nearly as much as headwinds hurt. I figure driving into a 20 mph head wind is like driving 100 mph with no headwind. That is a theory rather than a scientific observation.

So the average of the six 50+ mile runs @ 80 mph comes out at 18.117 mpg.

Axiom 1: It is always windy in South Dakota; mostly headwinds if you are driving.
